Frontier Airlines starts Ohio service
Fast-growing Frontier Airlines (Republic Airways' subsidiary) has today (Tuesday) announced a new link between Kansas City and Columbus, Ohio.
The airline's vice president of strategy and planning, Daniel Shurz, said: "Kansas City is a fantastic market for Frontier. Kansas City is now Frontier's third-largest operating hub and we're very excited about the opportunities this community provides us."
The launch of service to Columbus is part of a 17-market expansion taking place this spring and summer, which will also include the launch of service between Kansas City and New Orleans on May 20.
Frontier announced in March that it would be extending its nonstop service between Kansas City and Cancún, Mexico until August 28. The new routes increase the number of destinations offered by Frontier from Kansas City to 12.
