New Bosses for Two UK Airport Operators

Two new appointments were announced this week at Manchester Airports Group and BAA.

Charlie Cornish will succeed Geoff Muirhead as chairman of Manchester Airports Group on October

Cornish is currently managing director of United Utilities, the UK's largest listed water company. Muirhead is retiring after 22 years as chairman.

In other news, Kevin Brown will shortly leave his post as Aberdeen Airport's CEO to take the reigns at Edinburgh Airport, following the resignation of Gordon Dewar last month. Brown also oversees Southampton Airport and is expected to start as Edinburgh's CEO at the end of July.
