Extensive Routes Talks Programme Takes Shape!

The Routes Talks Seminar Theatres, located in the Networking Village and open to all delegates, are a unique space for briefings, presentations and discussions and this year’s progamme looks to be extensive as sessions are filling up fast within each of the three theatres. At World Routes in Abu Dhabi each Routes Talks theatre will have its own individual theme; Social Media & Online Marketing, Tourism and Industry Issues & Suppliers.

The highly topical Social Media & Online Marketing Theatre will help to address the explosion in the use of social media for marketing, sales promotion and customer relations of air routes. It will address the impact social media is having on how air routes will perform and will allow attending delegates to hear presentations from key personnel from airlines and airports who are using social media to drive route announcements and market their existing routes.

Recent additions to the programme in this theatre include The Rabbit Agency, who describe themselves as the social media ideas agency, and a Simpliflying Masterclass which is an opportunity for delegates to learn more about how best to use social media in their marketing. Other confirmed speakers in this theatre, so far, include Donovan Creative and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with topics ranging from; Social Media and Mobile Strategies to Web Content & Design and Web Analytics. This is a great opportunity to invite team members who may not usually come to World Routes and special rates are available for those wishing to bring new delegates to the event to participate in this programme.

The Routes Talks Tourism Theatre will also return this year to play host to a series of Ministerial Destination Briefings and presentations from major tourism destinations or travel organisations. This programme already includes a session given by the world’s largest travel website, TripAdvisor, which holds significant data on every destination in the world. Amongst the other sessions confirmed so far in this theatre will be a panel discussion entitled; New World - New Connectivity. This session will bring members of the International Council of Tourism Partners (ICTP) together to explore the surge in the BRICS markets and the global megahubs in the Gulf as well as the opportunities this presents. The effect on tourism and aviation marketing and promotion will also be discussed and participants can expect to engage in an interactive exchange. Other Sessions will feature briefings given by Nassau, Philippines Tourism, PATA, the Vanilla Islands and Texas Tourism.

The Routes Talks Industry Issues & Suppliers Theatre will give attendees the chance to discover the latest insights into data and technologies, learn from consultants such as ASM and data providers like OAG the best techniques to give your organisation a competitive edge and hear from the likes of EUACA, Gates and Partners LLP and Hermes GPE as to their future developments.

The sessions held in each theatre promise to provide excellent and engaging content for World Routes delegates click here for more information about Routes Talks or download the World Routes 2012 Planner for the up to date timetable of events.
