Etihad to serve Bangalore
Abu-Dhabi based Etihad Airways will begin new non-stop services to Bangalore India in 2011. The new route will commence January 1st and will be operated on a four-times weekly rotation with A320 narrowbody equipment. It will be the eighth destination in India served by Etihad as it currently serves Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai, Cochin, Calicut and Trivandrum.
IATA BSP data shows the majority of indirect traffic currently transits via Muscat onto Oman Air's five-weekly non-stop service.
