Ethiopian Airlines to Debut Boeing 787 Service on 16AUG12

Ethiopian Airlines on 16AUG12 will operate one-time only Washington Dulles – Addis Ababa service on board brand new Boeing 787-8 aircraft, operating on nonstop basis on this eastbound flight (13hrs 30mins). The Star Alliance member is now due to receive its first Boeing 787 on 14AUG12.

In addition, the airline has revised planned Boeing 787 operation. The 787 is scheduled to enter regular service on Addis Ababa - Johannesburg route from 26AUG12*. Planned Addis Ababa - Guangzhou service with 787 is cancelled as no new dates is given.

*Edit on 08AUG12: Boeing 787 aircraft to operate one-time service to Johannesburg on 26AUG12. Planned daily service is postponed until 28OCT12 at the earliest.
