Emirates bringing A380 service back to New York
Emirates A380
Emirates said an upturn in demand on transatlantic routes has prompted the airline to reinstate Airbus A380 service between Dubai and New York Kennedy.
A380 service is scheduled to resume on Oct. 31. Emirates has been flying the smaller Boeing 777 on the route.
The airline will continue to offer twice-daily service on the route, using one A380 and one Boeing 777.
Last spring, Emirates redeployed its one A380 serving New York to another route because a drop in demand made the superjumbo jet unsuitable for the service.
Emirates' double-decker A380 has 14 seats in first class, 76 in business and 399 in economy.
