easyJet announces new Tel Aviv flight

easyJet has announced that it will inaugrate service from Geneva to the Israeli capital of Tel Aviv. The new route will be inaugrated from 30th August and will be operated on a 4x weekly basis.

El Al currently operates a 4x weekly rotation between the city pairs with B737 equipment.

IATA BSP data (Airport IS) shows that over 53,000 passengers have flown the city pairs between Nov 08-09. Indirectly the most popular transit point is Zurich with Swiss Air.

easyJet currently also operates Tel Aviv from its base in London Luton.
