Delta gains approval for new Far East service

Delta Air Lines has secured regulatory approval to begin new non-stop services from the US west coast with a 5x weekly service to Beijing which will be operated with B767 aircraft to begin on June 4th.

Delta will compete on the route with Hainan Airlines, with over 55,000 pax having flown the route between March 09-10, Hainan Airlines carried 77% of these pax.

Three days later, Delta will also begin a new non-stop service from Seattle to Osaka, Japan to be operated on a daily basis.
