Blue1 to serve Munich

Finnish regional operator Blue1, will begin new non-stop services from its Helsinki base to Munich effective September 13th. The carrier will operate the service on a daily basis with B717 equipment and will compete with Lufthansa which operates a 21x weekly service and Finnair which operates a 12x weekly slot.

IATA BSP data shows that between May 09-10, over 157,000 passengers have flown the sector between May 09-10 with Lufthansa having a 57% share of the market.
