Bangkok heads to Mumbai
Thailand based operator, Bangkok Airways has announced that it will begin a new six-times weekly service from Bangkok to Mumbai effective March 2nd. It will enter a route that it heavily served by other carriers with Air India serving it daily, Kingfisher six-times weekly, Jet Airways twice-daily, Thai International Airways ten-times weekly and Cathay Pacific operates a fifth freedom flight three-times weekly. The route has seen over 330,000 passengers fly between October 2009 and October 2010 with Thai International the market leader with a 29% share of all scheduled passengers.
