Bangkok Airways Begins Codeshare in Thailand

In line with its ongoing strategy to optimise its network through codesharing, privately owned Bangkok Airways has begun partnering with Taiwan's EVA Air across domestic (leisure) routes in Thailand.

The codeshare is effective on flights between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Phuket. The move will also allow international passengers to connect to/from Thailand through Taipei and on to European and American destinations using Eva Air's international network.

Watch our video interview with Peter Wiesner, senior vice president, network management at www.routesonline.com. He tells us about the importance of codeshares and the carrier's current route strategy during his visit at Routes Asia in Adelaide.
