Bangalore gains new International services

Bengaluru International has announced that it will gain three new international markets from next summer linking Bangalore with key international markets. These new routes are;

  • Star Alliance carrier, Air China will operate a daily Shanghai-Chengdu-Bangalore service with A321 aircraft. There is currently no service between any of these city markets.
  • Qatar Airways will launch a daily service from Doha
  • Low cost carrier Air Asia will add a Kuala Lumpur- Bangaluru service from Apr 2010.

Bengaluru International currently operates 129 weekly International departures, which accounts for 11% of all scheduled departures from the airports, with DXB its leading destination with 31 weekly flights.
