BA Takes Delivery of Long Range 777

BA is the first UK airline to take delivery of the long range boeing 777-300ER, the airline announced today.

Willie Walsh, British Airways' chief executive, confirmed: "We will add two more B777-300s by the end of this year, and three more by early 2012."

When it goes into service later this year, the 297 seat aircraft will offer a four-class configuration including First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller.

"It is the aircraft first to be fitted out with our new World Traveller and World Traveller Plus cabins, with new in-flight entertainment systems providing customers," said Walsh.
