Asian Airlines Cancel Riyadh Schedules
PHILIPPINE AIRLINES is to gradually reduce capacity on its Manila – Riyadh route before suspending flights. From 30JAN11, the four-times weekly service will reduce to three per week, before falling to just twice weekly from 09FEB11. Its last flight is scheduled to operate on 31MAR11 when services will be suspended. During the final month of operation the airline will also use an Airbus A330-300 rather than a Boeing 747-400 further reducing capacity. Meanwhile. MALAYSIA AIRLINES, which was due to inaugurate a three-times weekly Kuala Lumpur – Riyadh service from 03JUN11, has confirmed that it has dropped its plan to serve the Saudi Arabian city.
