All the latest News from the WRDSS

The World Route Development Strategy Summit (WRDSS), which will take place on Sunday 30 – Monday 1 October, alongside the World Route Development Forum, is set to be one of the most influential events of the year for leaders within the global route development community. With the attendee list expanding fast, here we outline why you shouldn’t miss out on this impressive event.

No other event gathers the calibre and range of both speakers and delegates you will find at this year’s summit. Nowhere else offers you the opportunity to connect with thought leaders and decision makers from across the air route spectrum. With more organisations coming from every part of the world, this two-day event offers you the chance to dramatically increase your network of contacts.

Government ministers, airline and airport CEOs, heads of industry associations and chiefs from across the industry will gather to discuss the latest issues challenging the industry. Whereas other events in our community focus on vertical issues, this summit has been structured to ensure the interconnected nature of all aviation streams are addressed and delivered by speakers never seen together on the same stage before. This year will see an evolution of some fiery debates heard at last year’s Strategy Summit which will shape the future of aviation.

Over 600 companies have already confirmed their attendance and the significance of this event is far more than the sum of its parts. Taking place alongside World Routes provides the ultimate platform for the summit as there over 3000 industry players will be in attendance.

Abdul WahabTeffaha, Secretary General of the Arab Air Carriers Organization, who will be taking part in one of the sessions comments: “The World Route Development Strategy Summit has always been an excellent platform to raise awareness on strategic issues and help create the proper mindset in the decision-makers thinking about major trends affecting the industry.”

Those who have already confirmed their participation at this prominent event include Alex Cruz, Chief Executive Officer for Vueling; Jeffrey P. Fegan, Chief Executive Officer at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport; Professor Geoffrey Lipman, President, ICTP, and Director, greenearth.travel, Jose Montero, Director, Planning for Copa Airlines; Olivier Jankovec, Director General of ACI Europe; Ernesto Guttierrez, Director and CEO, of Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 S.A. and Richard Evans, Head of Market Analysis, Civil Large Engines for Rolls-Royce plc
