Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) has opened the Terminal 3-Tom Bradley International Terminal connector, giving passengers unimpeded post-security access to all of the busy hub's terminals for the first time.

The connector closes the final gap between LAX's terminals. It enables the terminal used by Delta Air Lines (Terminal 3) and the airport's main international terminal to be linked post-security.

Allowing for an unimpeded 2-mi. walkway post-security spanning all eight terminals, the connector enables passengers “to conveniently journey to connecting flights and an abundant collection of offerings including food and beverage vendors, shopping and entertainment,” Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), which runs LAX, says in a statement.

LAWA notes this “represents the first time in the airport’s almost century-long history that unrestricted terminal-to-terminal access has been available to users.”

“With this latest milestone, passengers can journey from T1 to T8 post-security without the need for buses,” LAWA CEO Justin Erbacci adds.

The unimpeded walkway also allows airport workers to move through terminals more seamlessly, LAWA says.
