Aires launch New York sector

Colombian carrier, Aires has announced that it will link the Colombian capital of Bogota with New York JFK. The new route will begin from June 25th and will be operated on a 3x weekly basis with B737-700 aircraft.

Aires will face competition on the route from flag carrier which operates a 17x weekly service and Delta Air Lines which serves the route also on a 17x weekly.

IATA BSP data shows that over 167,000 passengers flew the route between March 09-10.
