Air Canada goes five daily on LAX

Star Alliance member, Air Canada, has announced that it will add a fifth daily service from its Toronto Pearson hub to Los Angeles. The additional frequency will commence from May 16^th with A319 equipment. Air Canada competes on the sector with oneworld member American Airlines which serves the route daily and Virgin America which operates the route on a six-times weekly basis. IATA BSP data shows that over 395,000 O+D passengers flew the route between October 2009 and 2010 with Air Canada having a 56% market share.
