Air Baltic adds Vilnius links
Latvian carrier Air Baltic has announced five new routes from the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius which are slated to commence in December. The new routes comprise of
- 3x weekly service to Paris CDG commecing December 18th
- 4x weekly service to Munich commencing December 19th
- 3x weekly service to Berlin Tegel commencing December 21st
- 6x weekly service to Amsterdam commencing January 4th 2010
- 3x weekly service to Rome commencing 11 January 2010
All the routes will be operated with B737-500 aircraft. The new routes are a significant addition to the Air Baltic presence in Vilnius, where the carrier already has a 40% market share since the demise of the Lithuanian national carrier FlyLal early in 2009. Air Baltic currently operates over 127 weekly frequencies from Vilnius with connection to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Munich, Milan, Riga and Tallinn.
