Air Asia X secures French traffic rights.

Air Asia X has confirmed that it has secured the necessary travel rights to operate to Paris France. There is no date scheduled for a proposed new service but the freeing up of slots at Paris Orly has brought the service a step closer.

Orly is the secondary airport of Paris (ORY) and fits the model of the low cost long haul model of Air Asia X. Air Asia X currently operates to just one European market, London, and serves London Stansted, the low cost alternative to LHR and LGW.

Air Asia X has a number of long haul aircraft on order and hopes to serve the European market with more direct non stop services as well as looking for fifth freedom traffic rights through its proposed Middle East hub.
