Aer Lingus begins year with cuts

One year after starting a base at London Gatwick, Aer Lingus is to scale back flights at the London airport and reduce its A320 aircraft from five to three – with effect from March.

The carrier had planned to grow its base to eight aircraft this year. The decision is down to “weaking passenger demand”, according to the airline.
