Airport Council International announce rise in global passenger numbers
Global passenger traffic at the world's major airports has risen by nearly per cent year over year during July.
African airlines have recorded a rise of 1.9 per cent in total passengers overall this July, although there has been a loss of -1.3 per cent of international passengers.
This rise has lead to the prediction that with the 2.3 per cent in passengers recorded from January to July this year, the Airport Council International has predicted a rise of 5.2 percent over the next twelve months, with international passenger numbers picking up.
Unlike global passenger numbers, global air freight volumes were not as impressive in respect to year over year growth in July. However, Africa recorded an increase of 15.8 percent in their freight numbers in July 2015 year over year, with a prediction for a further 10 per cent increase in the next twelve months.
