The newly announced group of Southwest redeye routes have a June 5, 2025, start date. The additions bring to 33 the routes on which Dallas-based Southwest will offer overnight service in the 2025 summer.
The added routes with redeye service include seven to Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), Southwest’s largest U.S. East Coast airport. Redeye flights to BWI launching June 25 include service from California cities Long Beach, Oakland, Ontario, Sacramento and San Jose, as well as flights from Portland, Oregon, and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
On that same date, SEA will also see the carrier start overnight flights to Chicago Midway, Houston Hobby and Nashville, Tennessee.
Redeye flights will also commence from June 25 between Honolulu and Los Angeles and between Lihue, Hawaii, and Las Vegas.
Southwest announced its first batch of five redeye flights in late July and has been steadily adding more routes since.
A flight from Los Angeles to BWI on Feb. 13, 2025, is expected to be the carrier’s first overnight service.
