LE BOURGET—ANA Holdings has firmed up a previously announced narrowbody order with Airbus at the Paris Air Show, as part of plans to grow its fleet and in a move that will see its subsidiary Peach Aviation become the first Japanese operator of the Airbus A321XLR.

The airline has finalized its agreement with Airbus, signing a firm deal for 24 single-aisle A321neos and three A321XLRs, Airbus says.

The two parties held a signing ceremony at the Paris Air Show June 16, with ANA Holdings President and CEO Koji Shibata and Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus EVP for sales of commercial aircraft.

The order covers 14 additional A321neos for All Nippon Airways (ANA), as well as 10 A321neos and three A321XLRs for Peach Aviation to upgrade the fleet.

ANA operates 33 A320-family aircraft, while Peach Aviation operates 36 A320-family types.

ANA Holdings had announced orders for a total of 77 new aircraft in February, at the time saying that included 68 confirmed orders and nine options.

ANA also held a signing ceremony with Embraer for 15 E190-E2 aircraft ordered at that time, which included 15 confirmed orders and five options. In February, the company had placed an order for 14 A321neo aircraft and 12 Boeing 737-8s, made up of eight confirmed orders and four options.
