Although manufactured in 1944, this Curtiss C-46 Commando still flies daily to provide fuel to remote villages in Alaska. This C-46, photographed in Kenai, Alaska, is operated by Everts Air, which also operates some Douglas DC-6 aircraft.

On Remembrance Day (Nov. 11) 2023 in South Australia, this International Cargo Transporter Antonov An-124 delivered two Airbus H175 helicopters for work in the off-shore oil industry. Spectators at Adelaide International Airport tried to decipher the helicopters' former registrations.

Gleaming in the morning sun, the Queen of the Skies glides in front of the waning moon over Florida's Space Coast. Operated by Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, this Boeing 747-87UF traveled from Anchorage to Miami at 34,000 ft. and 490 kt.

The International Air Transport Association projected cargo demand growth for 2024 would reach an all-time high, with 11.8% growth, continuing at about 6% for 2025.
