Day one of a two day Regional Safety Air Traffic Management Safety Improvement interactive workshop has come to an end in Benoni.
Panellists discussed the safety benefits of ATM Automation and Regional Interoperability, looking at the need for regional cooperation and integration of the African Planning and Implementation Regional Group.
Other panels looked at understanding issues faced by air navigation services providers and safety culture and performance.
Tomorrow’s discussions will look at human performance in air traffic control, and how to influence acceptable human performance.
