Air Namibia passes AOC auditing
Air Namibia's Air Operator Certificate has been renewed by the directorate of civil aviation after months of auditing, New Era reports.
Angeline Simana, director of civil aviation, issued the certificate last week, leaving the carrier to continue its commercial operations.
The carrier will continue to fly to Botswana, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Germany.
“We do not brag about safety because it is an intangible element that you cannot hold onto, but for our airline to receive its AOC without conditions testifies to our collective commitment to ensure that we comply with all safety requirements at all times,” said head of corporate communications, Air Namibia, Paul Nakawa.
The renewal came days before the carrier won the Best Regional Airline Feather Award from the Airports Company of South Africa.
