Air Mauritius introduces new pilot procedures after GermanWings crash
Following the crash of the Airbus German Wings A320, Air Mauritius has joined a growing number of international airlines to introduce new procedures to ensure that no pilot is left alone in the cockpit during a flight.
“In accordance with regulations and its rigorous professional standards, Air Mauritius takes all necessary steps to ensure the complete fitness of its crew members. Nevertheless, the company has today, introduced a procedure to ensure that no pilot is left alone in the cockpit during a flight,” the airline said in a statement.
“Air Mauritius takes this matter very seriously and wishes to ensure the public that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its topmost priority.”
