Air Madagascar prepares for securing a partner

Air Madagascar will be restructured in order to secure a suitable strategic partner airline, ch-aviation has reported.

"Part of the company will be privatized, hence the search for private and public partnerships will begin in February," said CEO Gilles Filiatreault.
Filiatreault said the carrier’s workforce will be cut down by releasing 400 members of staff.
Other measures include cutting loss-making routes such as flights to Guangzhou, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, and Johannesburg O.R. Tambo.
