Afric Aviation CEO sentenced to 90 days in prison

Afric Aviation's CEO, Alfred Pierre Etouké has been sentenced to 90 days in prison in a count of embezzlement.

Etouké faced a public hearing on 5th August where his sentence of 90 days imprisonment was matched with 600 mil. CFA francs (USD1,019,590.50)to be paid in damages to his partner Alain Regourd, who sued him for forgery and breach of trust.
It is not currently known if Etouké plans to appeal the sentence.

He remains in control of the company, and Afric Aviation continues to maintain a good reputation as an airline.
