AFRAA AGM: Republic of Congo to show commitment to developing aviation industry
Republic of Congo's president affirms commitment to developing aviation in the country.
His Excellency President Denis Sassou Nguesso, the President of the Republic of Congo, at the opening of the AFRAA AGA and Summit, said the government recognised the importance of aviation to the country’s economic development.
“The Republic of Congo on its part, is among the 11 States that have expressed their commitment to immediately and unconditionally open their skies towards the establishment of a fully liberalised African sky by 2017,” he said.
He stated that the government particularly supported development of Maya Maya International airport in Brazzaville.
