In Brief: China To Train Pakistani Astronauts For Future Space Missions

The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) will select and train two Pakistani astronauts, one of whom will serve as a payload specialist onboard the Tiangong space station. This initiative follows a cooperation agreement signed in February between the China Manned Space Engineering Office and the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission. CMSA spokesperson Lin Xiqiang told local media that the selected astronauts will conduct experiments designed by Pakistan. The initial selection process is already underway, with a second and final round of selection to take place in China.
