In Brief: Avincis, De Havilland Team Up For CL-215/415 Support

European emergency service aircraft operator Avincis has teamed with De Havilland Aircraft of Canada on support initiatives related to the CL-215 and CL-415 family of twin-engine water bombers. Avincis operates and maintains a large fleet of CL-215s and CL-415s in Europe, some under its own ownership and some on behalf of governments such as the Italian fire service. Avinicis has made adaptations to the fleets, which it is now transferring to De Havilland Canada for inclusion in its spare parts catalogue. Additional Avincis-led modifications in the future will be developed in conjunction with De Havilland Canada, the companies announced on Dec. 4. The operator says the agreement will “leverage” Avincis’ experience and MRO footprint across Europe.
