Duties / Responsibilities
·
Responsible for the development and implementation of the engineering and maintenance policy.
·
Identifies necessary resources (e.g. facilities, housing, equipment, tooling, materials, personnel, data)
·
Ensures timely compliance with the provisions of the applicable Approved Maintenance Programmes
·
Maintenance requirements like ADs, MSBs, Non-mandatory SBs, SILs
·
Ensures the setting of technical standards to which the client's aircraft are maintained
·
Ensures secure and safe retention of all aircraft maintenance records and documentation
·
Performs periodical reviews and evaluation of the activities in the department to identify the trends
·
Negotiation of Maintenance Schedules with Regulatory Authorities

Experience
Must have a sound knowledge/understanding of the Aircraft Maintenance Contracts, Materials Management Contracts, and Maintenance Schedules procedures;
Fully conversant with EASA Part M and EASA Part 145 rules and regulations;
A minimum of 15 years experience in airline engineering and maintenance, with a minimum five years experience in a Post Holder position
Accountable for the actions and performance of all staff in the Fleet Technical team;
Negotiation of Maintenance Schedules with Regulatory Authorities.
Management of group members to the highest possible standard through recruitment and performance;
Previously held a Post Holder for Maintenance
Aircraft Engineers License EASA Part 66
Type Ratings on: - B737, A330, A340, CRJ900 or Q400 or combination
