UAE and Colombia to increase air traffic
The UAE's GCAA has initiated an Air Services Agreement and signed a MoU with Civil Aviation Authority of Colombia to increase flights between the two countries.
The MoU will allow a phased increase up to 28 weekly services for passengers and the same again for dedicated cargo services. The MoU allows the designated airlines to exercise fifth freedom traffic rights on intermediate and beyond points for both freight and passenger services.
The designated airlines of the UAE – Emirates Airline, Etihad Airways, Air Arabia, RAK Airways and Fly Dubai – will also be allowed to operate unrestricted passenger frequencies with any type of aircraft to Cartagena, Barranquilla, Santa Marta, San Andres, Providence Island and Armenia in Colombia.
