Supreme Foundation delivers classroom supplies to orphans in Kabul from Sharjah

Freight and Logistics company The Supreme Group has announced its registered charitable trust, Supreme Foundation, has recently organised an education campaign in Kabul, providing more than 550 school kits of essential classroom supplies to orphans and disadvantaged children.

Supreme Group’s employees, business partners and sponsors around the world collected the items, which were then flown from Supreme’s Middle East hub in Sharjah, UAE, into Afghanistan and distributed across local schools. Each kit consisted of five books plus essential stationery items to support the students’ studies for around six months.

The kits were distributed to ‘Tomorrows Hope Foundation’, an orphanage in Kabul; ‘Afghan Action’, a specialised school and training programme that helps disadvantaged youth learn how to weave and sell handmade Afghan carpets; and Karwan Elm Educational Centre. In addition to the school kits, Supreme Foundation also purchased classroom supplies for teachers such as English and math text books, multi lingual story books and art materials.

“Many Afghan children are caught in an inescapable spiral of poverty because they are too poor to get a proper education. We believe that today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders, so we are proud to support the education of children in Afghanistan and offer them the chance of a better life,” said Victoria Frost, Supreme Group’s director of communications and treasurer of Supreme Foundation.
