Royal Jet makes it four-in-a-row at World Travel Awards

Royal Jet has recorded an unprecedented four consecutive years of recognition as the Middle East's Leading Private Jet Charter operator by the World Travel Awards.

At a gala awards ceremony held at the Armani Hotel in Dubai on 2 May, Shane O’Hare, Royal Jet’s President and CEO received the award from WTA’s President Graham Cooke.

“Being recognised as the best in class is a major achievement,” said O’Hare on receiving the award. “To retain that status for four consecutive years in the face of increased competition and exceptionally difficult economic conditions is remarkable.

“Our success in large part is due to the vision and leadership of our chairman H.E. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nayhan, who has inspired us to reach these heights and more importantly maintain them. I would also like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our board of directors and every single member of staff who has worked tirelessly to ensure we consistently maintain our standards of service excellence.”

O’Hare said that having endured two tough years, there were some encouraging signs of a recovery in the marketplace.

“We have got off to a solid start to 2011, with the first quarter showing an improvement over the same period of last year,” he said. “As we approach one of our busiest periods I am confident that Royal Jet will be the first choice for discerning travelers throughout the region. This award is certainly going to help.”
