Zenon Aviation Recruitment is currently searching for a Route Planning Analyst on behalf of an established airline based in the Middle East.
Zenon Aviation Recruitment is currently searching for a Route Planning Analyst on behalf of an established airline based in the Middle East.
The role requires someone to provide route planning expertise and analysis, evaluating potential for new routes and identifying remedial action for existing routes.
To be successful you will have at least 1year airline experience in a network planning, commercial or financial analyst role.
Key responsibilities:
· Review route performance against targets and report on deviations requiring management intervention
· Conduct research to identify growth opportunities and new markets
· Monitor competitor airlines, in terms of schedules, product, fleet mix etc.
· Suggest process improvements
· Collaborate with Scheduling to assess economic impact of any planned changes
· Review and analyse weekly and monthly financial results to flag up anomalies, emergence of trends, opportunities and threats
· Prepare management reports, e.g. sector share and connections report
· Track progress of new routes
· Study competitor schedules and identify opportunities
· Continuously source, maintain and update statistics that will add intelligence to the planning process, e.g. tourism statistics
· Conduct aircraft assessment and evaluations of potential changes to the fleet mix
· Assist in ad hoc project work, presentations, providing statistics as and when required
· Prepare the Budget Operating Plan documents for distribution to senior management
· Prepare analysis for the monthly financial results meeting
The successful applicant will be an expert in Microsoft Excel statistical techniques (pivot tables etc) and be able to analyse large data sets.
A degree or higher qualification is required, preferably in Economics, Business, Mathematics or Science.
