RAeS lecture scheduled for Dubai
The Royal Aeronautical Society Dubai Branch is holding a free lecture next Wednesday, October 20 on the current outlook for aviation
The event takes place at Emirates Aviation College (opposite Dubai Tennis Stadium), with the guest speaker: Adam M. Pilarski, Senior Vice President, AVITAS. It starts at 18:00h local.
Adam Pilarski joined AVITAS in 1997 after seventeen years as an economist with Douglas Aircraft Company. He is responsible to oversee AVITAS's valuation and consulting services as well as supporting customers with studies including traffic forecasts, economic forecasts, statistical analyses, strategic planning and airline industry issues.
Dr. Pilarski has written over 100 articles and has been published in: The Review of Economics and Statistics, Economic Inquiry, American Journal of Sociology, African Air Transport, China Business Review, Air Finance Journal, Industrial Relations and Industrial and Labor Relations Review. Dr Pilarski is the author of the book 'Why Can't We Make Money in Aviation?' published in 2007.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society and he holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
