Qatar Airways welcomes delegates to the World Petroleum Congress
Qatar Airways, the official carrier of the 20th World Petroleum Congress, is welcoming delegates travelling to Doha from over 100 global destinations to attend the world's largest energy congress being held in Qatar.
Held every three years, the World Petroleum Congress has previously been held in cities including Calgary, Rio De Janeiro, Johannesburg, Madrid, and now Doha – the first city in the Middle East to host the key global energy summit.
Taking place at the newly-opened Qatar National Convention Centre between December 4 – 8, over 5,000 delegates and 550 speakers are expected to attend.
Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar Al Baker said, “We are pleased to be partners in the long-awaited 20th World Petroleum Congress, and we welcome all guests and dignitaries travelling from around the world to Doha in the coming days.”
The airline will have a presence at the accompanying exhibition with a dedicated stand where delegates can meet with senior management, and also conveniently secure bookings on-site with a unique mobile reservations service available to make new, revise existing bookings, or even arrange short holiday packages, specially created for visitors attending the Congress.
