Passenger Terminal World Middle East conference to take place in Dubai
Smart Stations and Terminals World Middle East conference will take place in Dubai next year, and hopes to be 'the premier conference for passenger terminal owners, operators, government, developers and service providers'.
Taking place 31 January – 1 February 2012 at the Madinat Arena, Dubai, the conference will be an opportunity for companies to meet and establish relationships with terminal owners and operators as passenger terminal plans are unveiled.
2012 is set to be a busy year for Middle East airports with the opening of the New Doha International Airport, the completion of a new 100,000sqm passenger terminal at Queen Alia International Airport, and expansion-work taking place at King Abdulaziz International Airport Jeddah and Abu Dhabi International Airport. Dubai World Central-Al Maktoum is also expected to start handling passengers in 2012 and Dubai International is predicted to be the world’s busiest airport for passenger traffic by 2015.
With so much activity surrounding the region’s passenger terminals, conference organisers Terrapinn, believe that ‘Terminal operators need to attract investment to fund new developments, implement new technologies and attract more carriers. This calls for a clear strategy. A strategy that ensures capacity can be managed. That customer experiences can be heightened. And revenue-making activities maximised. Smart Stations & Terminals World Middle East provides the strategic visions. ’
