Oman Air is official carrier of the Muscat Festival 2012

Oman Air has been announced as the Official Carrier of the month-long Muscat Festival 2012, which takes place between January 26th and February 23rd.

The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman has partnered with Muscat Municipality and the Oman Ministry of Tourism to promote the country as a unique tourism destination, and the highly-anticipated Muscat Festival is expected to draw visitors to Oman from around the world. It will feature a host of activities, ranging from the Oman Food Festival, Tour of Oman, Extreme Sailing Series and Muscat Fashion Week to an exciting lineup of musical concerts and theatrical events. In addition, since 2012 has been announced as the 'Year of the Child', many of the Festival activities will be particularly focused on creating education, fun and entertainment for young people.

Oman Air’s chief executive officer, Wayne Pearce, said: “We are delighted to have been appointed as Official Carrier for the Muscat Festival 2012. The festival is now in its 11th year and we anticipate that it will attract even more international visitors than the two million who came along last year to experience the true essence of Oman.
