MTU AERO ENGINES opened 14,000 sq meter turbine disk manufacturing facility in Munich for mainly GTF low-pressure turbine (LPT) disks; it currently produces 6,000 units per year, but in next 10 years it hopes to reach 12,000-unit mark.
