Gulf Air wins Travel Agents' Choice Award at the World Travel Market

Gulf Air won the Travel Agents' Choice Award for the Airline – “most recommended to clients travelling to the Middle East” at the annual Word Travel Market exhibition held in London from 8 to 11 November 2010.

The award was presented by Martin Steady, Managing Director from BMI Publications to the Gulf Air Commercial Manager UK & Ireland, Christina Vidos, from the London office at the airline’s stand in the exhibition.

Commenting on the airline’s achievement, Vidos said, “The Travel Agents’ Choice award is a clear recognition of the airline’s strength in connecting Europe to the Middle East. Gulf Air offers the largest network in the region and the most frequent choice of flights for passengers travelling to major primary or secondary destinations for business or pleasure.”

Gulf Air was one of the main exhibitors on the Kingdom of Bahrain stand along with Bahrain’s Tourism authority and other prominent businesses from Bahrain. The stand, manned by the airline’s UK based staff members, received a stream of visitors, who enquired about the airline’s new destinations Addis Ababa, Colombo, Alexandria and its hotel and car hire packages.
