Ghana's Air expo dates set for October 2016
International fears over Ebola led to the postponement of the inaugural African Air Expo in Ghana last year – but now dates have been set for the revival of the Expo with the first edition being officially scheduled for 12-14 October, 2016.
The event – launched by Ghana’s Minister of Transport, Ms Dzifa Attivor at the Aviation Africa summit in Dubai in May – will be held under the patronage of the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
Held in Kotoka International Airport Accra, Ghana, African Air Expo is supported by many African countries such as Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Libya, Sierra Leone, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Ethiopia, Zambia, Togo, South Africa and Egypt to name but a few. The event will focus on three critical areas:
- An aviation exhibition: Connecting the world of aviation to the African market
- Airport Infrastructures and Suppliers
- Human Capital Development
Event organizer 4M says that the African Expo will attract key aviation industry players and is an ideal platform to discover the latest technologies and learn about emerging trends and networking with key decision-makers and get first-hand knowledge about the industry’s present and future growth.
“The conferences held at the Expo will aim to provide an opportunity to chart out career opportunities in African aviation, industry ask questions of industry experts and enjoy a hands-on experience within the aviation and aerospace industry – Empowering Africa through training and human capital development,” the organizer said
