Jet Aviation Dubai re-delivers its first CPDLC & ADS-B Out upgrade
Jet Aviation Dubai recently re-delivered its first successful Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) & Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast Out (ADS-B Out) upgrade on a Gulfstream G550 for an undisclosed customer in the region.
Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) and Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast Out (ADS-B Out) are advanced avionics systems that offer improved communications capabilities between the air traffic control center and the aircraft, particularly in remote areas. These new technologies are widely displacing older, less advanced systems, with mandates already in place in Europe and around the globe to ensure integration of CPDLC and ADS-B Out systems in new aircraft in the near future.
“This particular upgrade was technologically challenging and logistically complicated,” says Wajahat Ali Khan, director of safety and maintenance at Jet Aviation Dubai. “I am very pleased to note that our team of qualified technicians worked tirelessly to re-deliver the aircraft on schedule.”
Hardy Bütschi, vice president and general manager at Jet Aviation Dubai added: “Our goal is to meet or exceed customer expectations while ensuring their safety. “We continuously strive to improve our capabilities by investing in new technologies and the ongoing training of our employees. Our goal is to meet or exceed customer expectations while ensuring their safety. This upgrade demonstrates our commitment to doing so.”
