Bahrain and UAE select FLIR's Safire III systems for Black Hawk

Bahrain and the UAE have selected the Star SAFIRE III for their Black Hawk fleets, manufacturers FLIR announced today

Since the beginning of 2009, more than 60 of FLIR Systems' Star SAFIRE and BRITE Star class systems have been ordered for U.S. and international installations on the helicopters.

FLIR Systems has delivered more than 200 systems from the Star SAFIRE product line for Black Hawk operations with various U.S. government agencies including the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, Orders and deliveries of FLIR Sytems' sensors have already exceeded 320 systems.

"FLIR Systems will continue to provide the most technologically advanced systems available," said William A. Sundermeier, president of FLIR Government Systems. "We are always eager to accommodate any platform with our high performance sensors."
