Embry-Riddle Leaders Celebrate 2026 Aviation Week 20 Twenties Success

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is celebrating a remarkable achievement: six of its students have been named 2026 Aviation Week 20 Twenties winners. This recognition underscores the university's commitment to being a global leader in aviation and aerospace education.

Kelly Austin, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost, expressed immense pride in the students' accomplishments. "This is core to our mission—aviation and aerospace. We seek to be the premier institution globally. Having six students recognized by Aviation Week is a great honor for us," he said.

Jennifer Schaeffer, director for nationally competitive awards and scholar development, highlighted the collaborative effort behind the success. "I really enjoy working with our students, from talking with their faculty and getting nominations to helping them put their best selves forward in their application packages," she said.

The students' achievements reflect their exceptional work both in and out of the classroom, including undergraduate research and experiential activities. Their dedication and innovation are shaping the future of aviation and aerospace.
