Dubai conference to focus on border and airport security

Issues surrounding border control and airport security will be the subject of a high level conference planned for Dubai in October

Event organiser INEGMA outlined today the purpose of the conference. "Transnational security threats are evolving and increasing in sophistication and frequency, necessitating the most efficient levels of border security. International passenger traffic is growing annually at a rapidly growing rate, demanding constant assessment and evaluation of security methods employed by immigration, airport and customs authorities all over the world. Meeting the security challenges presented by the rapidly expanding commercial aviation sector is also top priority for a variety of government agencies and private sector partners across the Gulf and the rest of the world." the company said in an announcement

Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Defense, Border Control and Airport Security (BCAS) will take place at the Atlantis Hotel on October 10 – 12, 2010.

It will be a three-day exposition and training conference designed to facilitate the transfer of specialist knowledge and create awareness of the latest trends in airport security and border control.

Regional and international attendees will include delegates from Ministries of Defense, Ministries of Interior, Immigration and Law Enforcement officers, security officials from airport and aviation authorities, officials from Customs and Border Management Agencies, Consular Missions, intelligence officers, private security professionals, airport security design experts and a variety of solution providers.
