Japan Grants Astroscale $80m To Inspect Large, Defunct Satellite

Astroscale is attempting a similar mission this year when another spacecraft attempts a rendezvous with an abandoned Japanese upper-stage rocket body in low Earth orbit.

Astroscale Japan has received an $80 million grant from the Japanese government to “image and diagnose” a large, defunct satellite.
